How does it work out the cost?
People times hours a week, plus any time spent fixing mistakes, times a 48 week year, times what an hour of that person's time costs to employ. Nothing is estimated on your behalf and every input is on the page.
Why 48 weeks and not 52?
Holidays, sickness and the weeks the job does not happen. Using 52 would flatter every number on the page, and flattering numbers are the ones that fall apart in front of a finance director.
Why does it ask what the build would cost?
Because we do not know until we have seen the process, and a calculator that quoted before the quote would be guessing at the number that matters most. Put in whatever figure you have been given, or a figure you are testing.
Why does it not assume automation removes all of the work?
Because it does not. Somebody still reviews exceptions and approves unusual cases. Eighty per cent is what a well built workflow takes off a person in practice, and the slider lets you set it lower if your process is messier than most.
Do I have to give you my email to see the result?
